June 2025 — Beijing Xingye Jianda Electric Co., Ltd. (“Xingye Jianda”) has won the bid for the “Distribution Box Procurement Project for the Wanbang Ore Terminal at Qingdao Port Dongjiakou Port Area, Shandong Port”, with a contract value of RMB 2,250,951 (tax inclusive).
This project marks the company’s first breakthrough into the port logistics sector, extending its business footprint from the traditional power and energy industries into the port infrastructure market and injecting new momentum into its diversified development.
According to the tender documents, the distribution boxes will be used in the Phase II ore terminal project at Qingdao Port’s Dongjiakou Port Area, mainly supplying and distributing power to port handling equipment, storage systems and intelligent control platforms. The project requires IP54 protection rating, wide-temperature operation from -40°C to +70°C, and compatibility with the port automation control system.
Xingye Jianda’s distribution box solution includes:
- Modular intelligent distribution units: integrating power monitoring and fault warning, supporting the Modbus-TCP protocol for seamless integration with the port central control system
- Corrosion-resistant reinforced structure: 304 stainless steel enclosure with epoxy resin potting to meet the high-humidity, high-salt-spray environment of ports
- Rapid deployment design: prefabricated enclosures allow installation and commissioning within 4 hours, suiting the tight schedules of terminal retrofits
Unlike conventional distribution equipment, the winning products were specially optimized for port operations:
1. Improved Seismic Performance
Through three-dimensional finite element analysis, the internal layout of the enclosure was optimized to withstand instantaneous impact under seismic intensity level 8, complying with JT/T 90-2023 Wind Load Calculation and Wind-Proof Safety Requirements for Port Handling Machinery.
2. Upgraded Energy Management
Equipped with smart meters and a cloud-based energy analysis platform, the system monitors the load of each zone in real time and is expected to reduce overall terminal energy consumption by 10%.
3. Redundant Power Supply Design
Dual UPS power supplies and an automatic diesel generator switchover system ensure continuous power supply to critical equipment under extreme weather.
This win follows Xingye Jianda’s participation in the 2021 Beijing Fengtai District distribution box procurement project (ranked third), and is another important breakthrough in non-power-system markets. “Port distribution equipment demands extremely high reliability, and this cooperation validates our technology integration capability in complex industrial scenarios,” said Gu Huijun, General Manager of the company.
Industry analysts point out that port infrastructure is rapidly transitioning toward intelligence. In 2025, cargo throughput at Qingdao Port’s Dongjiakou Port Area is expected to exceed 800 million tonnes, with supporting power facility investment exceeding RMB 5 billion. Xingye Jianda’s entry into the port distribution field is well positioned to benefit from the following trends:
- Policy drivers: Shandong Province’s 14th Five-Year Port Development Plan explicitly sets the “Smart Port 2.0” goal, with 20 terminal power system intelligent retrofits scheduled for completion in 2025
- Demand upgrade: rising electrification of port equipment is creating an incremental market for high-voltage distribution equipment, with the port distribution box market expected to reach RMB 1.8 billion in 2025
As a national high-tech enterprise, Xingye Jianda has expanded its market in recent years through a “technology + scenario” dual-drive approach:
