Nanjing Smart Grid Industry Scales Grows from 180 Billion to 500 Billion RMB, 15th Five-Year Plan Targets 1 Trillion

According to Bjx Power Network, Nanjing’s smart grid industry was selected as one of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s first batch of advanced manufacturing industry clusters in 2021. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the city’s industry scale grew from 180 billion yuan to 500 billion yuan, with an annual average growth rate of 22.7 percent. In the first half of this year, the industry continued to maintain double-digit growth. For the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Nanjing’s target is even more ambitious: to push the industry to a trillion-yuan scale.

In the field of smart grid, Nanjing has gathered nearly one thousand enterprises above designated size, with a particularly high concentration of central state-owned enterprises in the energy and power sector. More than half of the industry leaders in the two grids, five major, six small, two construction, and four equipment categories have settled in the city, establishing over 100 branch companies and building an industrial ecosystem led by industry leaders with complete supply chains and concentrated resources.

NARI Group, which has participated in and witnessed China’s power industry span five decades, has radiated its impact to over a thousand local supporting enterprises in Nanjing.
